Terms of Service

1. This agreement

These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and J.R.L Weerasingha, an individual based in Godakawela, Ratnapura, Sri Lanka who builds and operates AbroadMaster. In these Terms, “we” and “us” mean that person. By creating an account or using the site, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

The Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, Community Guidelines and Disclaimer are incorporated into these Terms.

2. What the service is

AbroadMaster provides:

• an Eligibility Checker that produces indicative match scores, points estimates and gap analysis
• a Country Info Hub with visa requirements, process roadmaps, document checklists and cost estimates
• a Community for experience sharing, questions and agent reviews
• an AI Assistant that answers from our verified content and drafts documents, a paid feature

3. Who may use it

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
• You must not be barred from using the service under any applicable law or sanctions regime.
• One person, one account. Accounts are not transferable.

4. Your account

• Give accurate information, and keep your profile up to date; eligibility results are only as good as the inputs.
• Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Tell us at support@abroadmaster.com immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
• You may delete your account at any time; see the Data Subject Request page.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• scrape, crawl, bulk-download or systematically copy our content, or use it to train a machine learning model
• resell, sublicense or republish our visa data, cost data or guides as your own
• post fake reviews, buy or sell reviews, or attempt to manipulate ratings, for yourself or on behalf of any agency
• impersonate anyone, misrepresent an affiliation, or claim to be a licensed agent when you are not
• post unlawful, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory or fraudulent content, or another person's personal data
• promote visa fraud, forged documents, sham marriages or illegal employment arrangements
• probe, interfere with or overload the service, or bypass usage caps, rate limits or access controls
• use the AI Assistant to generate content that is false about you or intended to deceive an immigration authority

6. Content you post

You keep ownership of everything you post: posts, comments, reviews, and documents the AI Assistant drafts for you.

By posting publicly on AbroadMaster, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies already in backups and for content others have quoted or replied to.

• You confirm you have the right to post what you post.
• Reviews must describe your own genuine experience. Fabricated or incentivised reviews are removed.
• We may remove content that breaks the Community Guidelines, and we explain why when we do.
• We do not remove or downrank negative reviews because a company advertises with us, sponsors us, or complains.

7. AI Assistant terms

• It is not advice. The assistant is not a lawyer or a registered migration agent. Its output is informational only.
• It is grounded, not omniscient. It answers from retrieved AbroadMaster content and cites the guide and date. Where retrieval finds nothing relevant, it is designed to say so rather than improvise. It can still be wrong; verify anything decision-critical with the official authority.
• Scope is limited to visa, immigration, cost and application-document topics on this platform. Off-topic requests are redirected.
• Fair-use caps apply. Because the pass is a flat prepaid price rather than metered billing, there are monthly limits on chat messages and on document generations, counted per calendar month in Sri Lanka and reset on the 1st. Current limits are shown in the assistant. We may adjust them with notice; a material reduction during a pass you have already paid for entitles you to a pro-rata refund of the unused whole months.
• You own and are responsible for the output. Review and correct any CV, letter or statement before you submit it anywhere. Submitting inaccurate information to an immigration authority is your responsibility and can carry serious consequences.

8. Automated processing and how to contest a result

Match scores, points estimates and gap analysis are generated automatically by comparing the profile you enter against published visa criteria, weighted per criterion, such as age bands, education level, years of relevant experience, language test bands and funds thresholds. The score is an indicative fit measure, not a probability of approval.

These results have no legal effect: only the relevant government decides a visa application. Even so, you may contest any result, ask for human review, and give us your side of it. Write to privacy@abroadmaster.com with the country and visa type; a person will re-check the inputs and the criteria applied and respond, normally within 30 days. This reflects your rights under GDPR Art. 22; see the Privacy Policy.

9. Payment terms

• The Eligibility Checker, Country Info Hub and Community are free. Only the AI Assistant is paid.
• Pathfinder, the AI Assistant, is sold as a prepaid pass at Rs. 990 per month. You choose the number of months and pay once.
• It is not a subscription. Nothing renews automatically. Access ends at the expiry date of the pass you bought.
• Payment is made by bank transfer using the QR code shown at checkout. You must send the prepared WhatsApp message with the bank receipt screenshot. Access begins only after an administrator verifies the transfer.
• Prices are fixed in Sri Lankan Rupees. Prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We may change prices for future purchases; a pass you have already bought is unaffected.
• Refunds are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

10. Advertising

The free parts of the platform are funded partly by advertising, including Google AdSense and placements sold directly to travel agencies and consultants. All paid placements are visually separated from editorial and community content and labelled “Sponsored”. An advertisement is not a recommendation, endorsement or verification by AbroadMaster, and buying advertising never affects reviews, ratings or rankings on this site.

11. Our intellectual property

The AbroadMaster name, logo, interface, written guides, structured visa data, cost models and scoring logic are owned by J.R.L Weerasingha and protected by intellectual property law. You get a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use them for your own migration planning. Everything else is reserved. Factual information originating from government sources remains attributable to those sources, which we link.

12. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access; maintenance, outages at our providers and circumstances beyond our control can interrupt it. We may add, change or remove features. If we make a material change that reduces what a paid pass gives you, we will tell paying users by email and offer a pro-rata refund of unused whole months.

We may update these Terms. Material changes are announced by email and/or an on-site notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Suspension and termination

• You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms or the Community Guidelines, is used for fraud or abuse, or exposes us or other users to legal risk.
• Except for serious or repeated breaches, we give notice and a chance to put things right first.
• If we terminate your account without cause while you hold a paid pass, we refund the unused whole months. If we terminate it for a breach, we do not.
• Sections 6, 11, 14, 15, 16 and 17 survive termination.

14. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Immigration rules change frequently and without notice. While we work from official sources and date every guide, we do not warrant that all information is complete, current or error-free at the moment you read it. Always confirm decision-critical details with the relevant official authority. Community content reflects individual experiences, not verified fact. See the full Disclaimer.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, J.R.L Weerasingha is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, opportunity, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service, including a refused, delayed or withdrawn visa application, money spent on an application, travel, courses or relocation, or any dealings with an agency you found through this site.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid us in that period, or (b) Rs. 5,000.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify J.R.L Weerasingha against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from content you post, your breach of these Terms, or your misuse of the service, including any use of generated documents that misrepresents your circumstances.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.
