At a glance
A plain summary. The full text below is what actually applies.
- What we are not
- Not a migration agency, not a law firm, not registered migration agents, and not affiliated with any government, embassy or immigration authority.
- What this information is
- Research, sourced and dated. It is not legal or immigration advice and no visa office is bound by anything on this site.
- Eligibility results
- Automated and indicative. They estimate whether you meet published criteria; they do not predict a decision.
- Cost estimates
- Approximations that move with exchange rates, fees and the choices you make. Budget above them, not to them.
- Community and AI content
- Other users' experiences and AI-drafted text are starting points to verify, not statements we warrant.
- Before you act on anything
- Confirm it with the relevant official authority. Their published rules override anything here.
1. We are independent
AbroadMaster is an independent information platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or acting on behalf of any government, embassy, high commission, consulate or immigration authority in any country. We are not a migration agency, immigration consultancy, law firm or recruitment agency, and we do not employ registered migration agents.
Names, logos and marks of governments and immigration authorities that appear on this site are used only to identify the source of information and remain the property of their owners.
2. Nothing here is legal or immigration advice
All content - guides, checklists, roadmaps, cost calculators, eligibility scores and AI Assistant responses - is general information. It does not take account of your personal circumstances and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified immigration lawyer, a registered migration agent, or the relevant immigration authority.
Before you act on anything
3. Accuracy of information
We work from official government and embassy sources, cross-check manually, print the source and the last-verified date on every guide, review each country at least quarterly, and update immediately when we detect a policy change.
Even so, immigration rules change frequently and sometimes without public notice, and translations and interpretations can differ. We make no warranty that all information is complete, current or error-free at the moment you read it, and we accept no liability for decisions taken solely on the basis of this site.
4. Eligibility results are indicative
Match percentages, points estimates and gap analysis are automated calculations comparing the profile you entered against published criteria. They are not an assessment by any immigration authority, not a decision, and not a prediction that an application will succeed. A high score does not mean approval; a low score does not mean you are ineligible. Only the relevant government can decide. You can contest a result and ask for human review.
5. Cost estimates are estimates
Visa fees, agent fees, travel, settling-in and living costs are indicative figures based on published rates and collected data at the time of writing. Actual costs vary with exchange rates, the date you apply, your family size, your city, and provider pricing. Treat our totals as a planning aid, not a quotation. Never use them as a budget without checking current official fees.
6. AI-generated content
The AI Assistant is designed to answer only from retrieved AbroadMaster content and to cite the guide and date behind each answer; where retrieval finds nothing relevant, it is instructed to say so rather than improvise. This substantially reduces invented answers, but no AI system is infallible.
- Verify anything decision-critical against the official source.
- Documents it drafts (CVs, motivation letters, cover letters) are starting points. Read and correct every factual claim before you submit them.
- Submitting inaccurate information to an immigration authority can have serious consequences, and that responsibility is yours.
7. Community content
Posts, comments, success stories and cost breakdowns shared in the community are the individual experiences and opinions of their authors - not verified facts, not our views, and not endorsed by us. Processing times, outcomes and costs differ enormously between individuals. We moderate for rule-breaking, but we do not fact-check every post.
8. Agents, consultants and reviews
Agent reviews and ratings are user-submitted opinions. Their presence on AbroadMaster is not a recommendation, licence check or verification by us. Always confirm an agent's registration directly with the relevant official registry before paying anyone.
We do not remove, hide or downrank negative reviews because a company advertises with us or complains. Reviews are removed only when they break the Community Guidelines.
9. External links
We link to government portals, job boards, language test centres and other third-party sites for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
10. Affiliate links
Some outbound links (currently to services like Wise, Remitly and HousingAnywhere) may be affiliate links: if you sign up or make a booking through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. A link is marked “Affiliate” only once that commercial relationship actually exists.
A commercial relationship never changes which service we name, the order they appear in, or what we say about them. If a service is the right answer because it is cheapest or most reliable, it stays the right answer regardless of whether any programme pays us. Official and government sources are never affiliated, and we never add a service to a guide because it has a programme rather than because it is the correct thing to recommend.
11. Advertising
Advertisements and sponsored placements are always labelled and visually separated from editorial and community content. They are paid for by the advertiser and are not recommendations, endorsements or verifications by AbroadMaster.
